The i-Care Cluster, which specialises in medical technology, and the competitive cluster Lyonbiopôle, which specialises in health, have joined forces to create the i-Care LAB, a healthcare lab for the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The goal is to foster the emergence of new solutions to accelerate the sustainable and permanent transformation of healthcare organisations, specifically through digital technologies.
i-Care LAB, located at H7, a technology hub in Lyon-Confluence, is for everyone: healthcare professionals, health technology companies, healthcare users and the creative community. It helps stakeholders imagine innovative applications in healthcare, in particular through the richness of its ecosystem, its understanding of healthcare challenges and medico-social issues, and an agile team that facilitates project management.
It is structured around 3 areas of focus:
- Ideation: i-Care LAB helps stakeholders explore a given healthcare issue, in order to identify an operational solution in the technological environment.
- Experimentation: testing the solutions in living lab mode, before they are produced and marketed.
- Showcasing the healthcare innovations developed within its sphere.
“i-care LAB is a great opportunity to explore new areas of healthcare innovation in the region, in collaboration with users and the public and private stakeholders under the Lyonbiopôle umbrella”, explains Gérald Comtet, Director of i-Care LAB.
